On September 24, 2017, fall color was progressing nicely in the upper elevations of Bear Jaw, Waterline, and Abineau trails. This loop is approximately 7 miles long, with an elevation difference of 1,800 feet. The loop's high point is at the top of Abineau Canyon, at the base of Humphreys Peak. The loop is one of the premiere fall color hikes on the Coconino National Forest.
