Olympian 818 (D218 FYM) split another coolant hose whilst in service on 18-8-12, the second occurrence in a week. Unfortunately, the extent of damage and location of the hose in the engine bay meant a visit from the Blackpool Transport recovery truck, aka 'The Beast'

Spare bus 873 was also unavailable for service, so I got fobbed off with a school bus for the rest of the afternoon. Needless to say, I didn't carry many!
