The first international commercial airline company to fly long distance to Somalia landed in the capital Mogadishu on its maiden flight 6 March. The Turkish Airlines flight carried Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bosdag and a high level delegation from Ankara and was welcomed on the tarmac of Aden Abdulle International Airport by Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
