The style of this image of Stockholm's City Hall is basically the result of a mistake I made during capture time. I was undercompensating my bracketed exposures and when I returned home to examine the results I realised even the overexposed image was lacking in detail. It turns out that was for the best. The details of the building itself were not as interesting as the beautiful cloud formations in the background. So I decided to go all the way and silhouette the entire building and its surroundings to create more impact. I am more than happy with the result, it was an opportunity to try something different and rectify my mistake.
